Reflecting on April

Each time I write this post I always keep thinking to myself another month has nearly gone. I like to write these posts just before the month ends purely because I like to have the post live on my blog usually at the beginning of the new month or on the last day of the previous month. Well in England where I live, the term 'April Showers' really has become true this month. No joke, I think I even mentioned last month in March that we had lots and lots of rain. But I mean this time is completely different. I lost count on how many times I am/still wearing my winter coat. Its been cold, thunder, hail stones and lightning.. pretty much every day! It has not stopped. On the day I am writing this post the sun is finally out and it is becoming to feel like Spring! I have even been able to wear my new trainers I bought from Topshop and my Bomber Jackets too!

This month has been a lot of fun spending time with one of my close friends who I do not get to see a lot of now I have a different job. Plus its the only time we can sit down and go to Wagamama's too.
So a good catch up, eating Ramen's is the best and of course the shops! We both love going to Lush purely just to see if they have any new bath bombs instore. A couple of weeks ago when we went I ended up buying a bubble bar called Cream Candy. Its a gorgeous pink colour and has the such a pretty flower in the middle. Its the perfect thing if you like sweet things and I am guessing if you are also a lush fan then you must have already tried it! I absolutely loved it, it made the bath smell and look incredible. Its definitely worth your money!

If you have been reading my blog since last year or the last few months you will know that I love The Beatles and I am still collecting their vinyls. So I recently bought 'The White Album' which I had been wanting for a month now and was so happy to buy it 2 weeks ago. It made my day and when I got home I could not wait to play it! It is such a good album.

Blogging has been going quite well this year! I am so pleased how you all seem to loving it.I have been getting so many reviewers from the USA which is rather exciting! I have said this many times but I just want to thank you all for taking the time to read my blog it means so much and I am so happy that you are enjoying it! This is what I wanted it to be about.

I've also been speaking to a such a lovely sweet girl from the Neverlands recently, I follow her on Instagram and she wears 40 style dresses unfortunately she does not have a blog but to be honest I really think she would love doing it and so what people reading it too! I certainly would! Speaking of social media I have been thinking about deleting my Facebook account because I do not use it at all apart from looking through to see what vintage pictures there are. Facebook is not like it was back in 2009 where everyone had either moved from Bebo or Myspace to connect to their friends, put ridiculous statuses about what they were doing every 2 seconds. Thank goodness I had sense and it not do that. I love Twitter and I always use that, Its definitely helped me with my followers on my Blog Lovin account and even on my Instagram.

Instagram catch up!

Another month has begun and the weather in the UK is terrible! I mean it constantly rains and its cold. WHERE IS SPRING?! We only seem to get sunny days every so often in the North of the UK but the South where London is getting spring like weather. Its so frustrating! I truly hope it gets better. Anyway back to the blog post.. I have not even introduced what this post is all about. I can tell its going to be babbling on about how much I have been loving my Instagram feed recently.
I know I did a post the other day on Instagram but that was completely different and I wanted to share with you the pictures I have been loving on there, By the way who is loving the picture above that says 'No Rest for the Rad' I've actually just realised that is what it said on the jumper.. what am I like.

Before I begin if you aren't following me on Instagram make sure you do! Instagram.com/lottieslott

Here are the top things on my feed I have been currently loving!

1.

Morgan Freeman - let me tell you why. So last night I watched The Shawshank Redemption. I don't know why but it was the first time I'd ever seen it and I absolutely loved it. It has to be one of my all time favourite movies ever. What a classic! I tell you what you cannot beat them can you?

2.

Alexa Chung - I have always loved Alexa. She's an inspiration to some people girls. She's a fashion icon and she wears the kind of clothes that everyone loves. She makes girls think yes I can wear that.
She has that perfect model figure but that doesn't mean that other body shapes cannot wear the clothes she wears. She will always be a fashion icon. I love her!

3.

Now this is an unusual one for me, not because I don't wear makeup because I do and I love it! But only because I only post Vintage and Retro things on there apart from selfies of course. I went into Mac Cosmetics on Wednesday and I bought the foundation and concealer. I love it!

4.

Pattie Boyd - I have blogged about before and she's known for marrying George Harrison and Eric Clapton. Yes its a bit of a love triangle but that is for another day.. Anyway, Pattie was a 60's British model. I adore her, she's a fashion icon. Het pictures were just the best, so natural but looked amazing.

5, A selfie of myself. I like taking pictures of myself, I know it sounds vain but I really aren't vain. Not even one bit, when I was younger I used to love looking in the mirror at myself, its pretty embarrassing to be honest. CRINGE MOMENT.  But hey.. sometimes your feed needs selfies and I was like right 'lets try and a get a decent picture of myself'' I took a few and I posted two photos including this one. I also love black and white photos.

I hope you all have enjoyed this post. Its something I have never tried before and I thought why not.
I have just posted a new blog post called Reflecting on March so make sure you check that one too,

I hope you are having a good week and I will see you all soon with a new post!

March Favourites

Before I start this post can we just take a moment please to appreciate these two amazing men who were both 'reunited' together again in heaven when Ronnie Corbett passed away last week. Such a sad moment, another legend has died in 2016. I found this beautiful photo of them both and I thought it would be a good idea to share it with you. I personally was not born when these two were in their element even though they have always been good not just together but individual and you will never get another act like them. They are what you call one of a kind don't you think?

Anyway, this post is all about my latest March Favourites and I will be showing you some amazing vintage pictures that I have on my phone that have been waiting to go on my blog and you may have seen them on my Twitter and Instagram! Do check them both out if you have not already?

All these pictures that I have shown have been my March Favourites because each one is different, all of them apart from the last picture are icons who I love. Everything about this post is stylish and it makes you appreciate the style in all era's not just the world that we live in today.

I hope you enjoyed this post on a different take to a usual favourites I wanted to add my own vintage twist to it.

Reflecting on March

Can someone please tell me why 2016 is literally flying by! Its already the middle of March! These weeks are going so quickly its crazy! I cannot believe I am writing another one of these series of posts. I hope you like them. I really am enjoying writing them and being able to share with you how I feel each month has been for me. I am sorry about the Spice Girls picture I just couldn't resist it.
March is the month where everything is blossoming, the smell of fresh grass, the pretty flowers, the weather is changing, your wardrobe is changing and you can start and sit out in the garden. I don't know about you guys but in the UK it started snowing at the beginning of the month and where I live we haven't had any snow at all! It laid unfortunately but it soon went a few hours later! Oh and its just been one of the months so far where its raining constantly. Although last weekend (baring in mind I'm writing this just before Easter) the sun was so lovely I ended up wearing my leather jacket I got which was so good! Finally we are starting to get some nice weather. Anyway enough about the weather.. lets get on with this post!

Overall March has been a good month for me, I have now been at my job 7 months! Every month I keep saying how fast it has been and I think its because I love it so much. Its never a dull moment when your a receptionist at a doctors surgery and its constantly busy 24/7. I mean of course you have those quieter days but its still steady and you have still have people coming in for medication that always keeps you busy! I feel like last months reflective post I rambled on about work and I then realised it probably would not have been so interesting for you guys to read although if you did I am glad. Blogging this month has been pretty great actually and I feel pretty pleased that I've been able to publish a few really good posts for you all! You know what I may not be an successful blogger who gets crazy amount of views but I just love posting things that I enjoy and hopefully you all enjoy too.

I do find when I'm not working every day I can sit down and think of ideas and once that blog has been completed I like to then start another If I can. I just love having at least 3 posts waiting to be published. That was what I was doing on my week off in February and it was great! Recently that has not been the case I am afraid, I know Its been a week usually since I upload another post and the same has happened this week but thank you all for sticking by me.

I have been getting so many followers on Twitter and I do not have a massive number but to be honest I really are not bothered. I do not care about having the least amount of people following my Twitter. I know so many people who don't have it or don't like it. I used to be that person and I know use it everyday. It is just one of those things and blogging definitely helped. I really think its such a good way to get people to notice your blog, YouTube, Instagram etc. It really helps. About a coulple of weeks ago I signed up with #TheBloggerProgramme its really easy all you do is sign up and you have a profile created for you where you can meet new bloggers and brands can send you products to try out. I signed up and realised it was probably for beauty and fashion bloggers/youtubers so I have not been using it.

Anyway that has pretty much been my month really I know March has not finished it and no this post won't be going up till after Easter.

Let me know in the comments how your month has been? Or feel free to tweet or send me a DM on Instagram. As always the links will be below.
