Reflecting on March

Oh my, Oh my! How has March been and gone already? This year is going so quick already and quite frankly I just cannot get in to my head that April is nearly here! Although the last couple of weeks the weather has been so lovely and yes Spring is finally making an entrance and all the flowers are out and everything is just so pretty! I have also seen the first lambs of 2017 too - I love this time of the year! This also means that we are step closer to Summer and now we can start wearing Spring clothes and start wearing cute bomber jackets and Mom jeans! - YES YES PLEASE. I love them so much, Although because I live in England I cannot say goodbye to jumpers and coats - no I have to keep them in my wardrobe because you just don't know what the weather is going to be like and let me tell you it rains in England! So kids you gotta' be prepared you know! I hate the transitioning from Winter to Spring purely because you just do not know what to wear. However lets hope this gets better.

March for myself is always one of those months where the family has their birthdays which means I have to be lots of cards and presents! Not only that but it is Mothers Day too! It is a pretty crazy month for that really and they all come round so fast you just do not have the time to get it all! It is always such a rush but somehow I do it! Blogging has taken a back seat this month but I have been doing posts but I have wanted to come up with new post ideas and I am searching for inspiration. Although saying that I did do two fashion posts which I love and an Old Hollywood post. I am very excited to start to bring that back to my blog it is going to be great and very exciting! Make sure you keep your eyes peeled soon for the new posts!!

If you guys saw my last monthly post you will know that at the end of April I am off to Berlin for 3 days for my friends 21st birthday and I am so excited! It is going to come round so fast and I literally cannot wait! Just bought myself a book and have started reading up on all the things to see and do! I will hopefully do a blog post all about that when I get home! I have to document that!!

My Hero

Here is a photo diary of my all time favourites also known as my grandparents. They are absolute legends and I know Grandad is looking down on us every single day wishing he could be with his family and friends for one more day but I know he's having a blast up there in heaven drinking whisky and reminising to his mam and dad about us all! Happy days don't you think? If you have been following my blog for a while now you might have read a post I did in October last year about my Grandad when he died. A day doesn't go by when I don't think of him, wish he was just a phone call away. I miss everything about him, he truly was the greatest person ever to walk on to the planet! I am so grateful for the memories, all the photos and video's I have on my phone and glad that now he is in a happy place, having a good long rest and in peace. Just the other day I was at my Grandma and Grandad's (I have a habit of saying that still but you know it is hard not too) and I was looking at some old pictures of my grandparents when they were in their youth. I love these pictures so much and wanted to share a few of them with you today.

Enjoy this photo diary of my grandparents and a cheers to me laddo Tennyson Hall.

Dusty Pink Pinafore And SmashBox Treats

There comes a time in your life where you have try new things and sometimes say goodbye to the old but maybe not forever. Especially not when it comes to clothes right? As I have said in a previous post way back last year 'fashion can be whatever you want it to be' and it is great to try new things and develop as a person. That is all well and good until clothes are conserned and seeing your friends wearing dresses, pinafore dresses or dungarees can make you think 'will they look good on me? 'can I pull them off? Of course you can! I have mentioned before in my blog that I am a tall girl and I find it hard to find dresses and skirts that fit me and I usually have to get them in tall because otherwise they are too short and look awful. So when everyone started wearing pinafore dresses I had the same kind of feeling that they would no fit and when I held it up against me it looked short so I never bothered. It just so happens I came across this pinafore dress in Topshop in Newcastle and I loved it. It was not a pinafore dress I had ever seen before. It is the perfect pinafore dress if you want to opt for an alterantive to demin with this cord pinafore dress. I love how it is a cool dusty pink velvet and there is a distinctive 90s edge to this throw-on style. I fell in love with it straight away and by gosh it is something you need to spice up your wardrobe this Spring. I wore a simple black basic top and black tights as the weather is still cold although it would look great with grey tights too. I actually wore my bomber jacket as I was indoors so even though it was slightly chilly it was a great match.

I actually bought this pinafore dress in the sale and when I tried it on I realised it had a rip in it but never even saw the label to say it was damaged however my mum sewed it up for me as luckily it wasn't that deep and it looks brand new, you cannot tell! Even though I didn't pay full price for it I would have done anyway it is such a lovely pinafore dress perfect for now and Spring. Hopefully the weather will finally start feeling like Spring so we can start wearing clothes like this and I can start putting my jumpers anyway for a while.

Also on my travels only the other day as it happens I ended up going shopping with my sister and we went to a discounted makeup store. They bacially sell expensive make up and skin care brands a lot cheaper so there is Mac Cosmetics, Bobbi Brown, Estee Lauder, Smashbox and Clinique. It is so great and I found two lovely makeup treats from Smashbox which I was so happy about as I always wanted to try something from there!

The lipstick itself is called Smashbox Nude Beach Be Legendary and it is the most perfect colour for Spring. If you are anything like me I love pastal colours and pinks. I tend to go for lipsticks like that then bold ones however I love trying hot pinks when its Summer. They just look gorgeous on and it looks great on the skin. The lipstick itself is a medium coral with warm, orange undertones and a natural sheen to it. It has creamy texture to it but it most certainly isn' too thick or even too thin on the lips.

When looking online at the lipstick The Be Legendary formula is supposed to have 'rich, vibrant colour' that is long-wearing and moisturzing. I am very excited about wearing this for Spring and Summer!

Last but not least here is my LA Blush and Highlight Pallet. I love blushes, I always wear them and I go for peach tones and pink ones because I am fair so that is what suits me best. I know some people are not too keen on pink shades but if you get them right they can look great on and are fabulous for the warmer months! I was so excited to get my hands on this pallet, now the pallet I chose myself is something that I would start to bring into my makeup routine very shortly and as much as I love my Soap and Glory it is always time for a change. Also it was my opportunity to try out highlight as that is something I have never tried before and really wanted to give it a go!

Instead of getting the pallet for £25 I ended up getting it for £18 which is a massive difference and let me tell you I was very happy indeed.

Back To The Basics

It has been over a year since I last did a post based on Old Hollywood Stars and when I first began my blog 2 years ago last month it was all I talked about. That was what my blog was based on and I never fell out of love with it I just wanted to focus on other things which led it to take a back seat really and I did promise in my Goals for 2017 that I was going to bring back Old Hollywood on my little space of joy and that is exactly what I am going to do again! Since I started my blog and when I changed my Instagram theme my favourite era was the 1950s and I was obsessed with Marilyn Monroe and Audrey Hepburn. So as that obession grew I then came across a beautiful lady called Lauren Bacall and then realised how amazing she was so of course she was added to my list and became part of my blog and Instagram. Since then I now love all the Hollywood era's starting from the 1920s to the 1950s. Each one is very different and unique and that is what I love about them.

I am not too sure when these posts will be but hopefully when I get into them again they will be mixed in with the other things I feature too so if you are not 100% keen then don't worry about that because it will mainly be twice a week maybe even just once a week. I'll keep you updated as what is going to happen and see if you guys enjoy them! This is only a short post as I just wanted to chat about what was going to happen in the coming months,

I hope you have had a good weekend and lets bring on the new work!

Pretty In Pink

If you have been reading my blog for a long time you might know that I love wearing colours and when Spring is literally around the corner I feel it is the perfect time to bring out the pastel style of inspiration to my wardrobe, It is most defintely a go to colour when I'm picking out the perfect clothes for Spring. I am very much a girly girl and I love wearing bright colours instead of wearing greys and black. Spring for myself is an exciting time of the year as the weather is starting to get warmer, the flowers are out making everything look so pretty. It is that time of the year where you can bring out jackets instead of wearing a big winter coat (although that sometimes isn't the answer) and you can put away your boots for another year and bring out your trainers or loafers. It is very much so an exciting time of the year and it is season I most defintely look foward too especially when you are getting sick of winter and all you want is to see some sunshine and blue sky.

Back in January I finally bought myself a pair of mom jeans and it was one of those things I had been wanting for so long and everytime I went into Topshop they always caught me eye and I would be dreaming that one day they would be mine. That dream came true and I like to think they remind me of a vintage Levi jean. They are so comfy and actually my favourite jean I have ever owned. I orignally wanted a floral pair that I couldn't stop dreamung about but they did not have my size and I think I found the plain ones which I loved and they fitted great! It was a dream come true that is for sure.

Next up is the knitted jumper and it is a colour I love to go for when it is Spring. Pink is so in the high street and it has to be one of my favourites this season and it is a MUST. It is one of those jumpers that makes you excited for the warmer weather coming and frills are also a firm favourite-set this season too. It makes you feel like a 'pretty girl in pink' and something that caught me eye was the tipped shoulder detailing which believe me is flawless and the exaggerated sleeves are the best. Now the cropped look is something I have not always been a fan of and showing my stomach is not really my thing but it fits great with my mom jeans and together they make a good combo.

February Favourites

Today you catch me a on a good day - I'm off to the cinema tomorrow and I decided to do a favourite post! I did one last month and I thought 'lets do it again' and you lovely people seemed to enjoy it so I could not resist. I also bought some really cool things I wanted to share too! This had to be done.

Lush Treats

Unicorn Horn Bubble Bar - This leaves your bath all lovely and pink and smells of Lavender and leaves your bath in bubbles. This one is £4.25 which I do think is over priced for what it is but I would get it again and this is an old bubble bar from the Valentines Day collection.

I also bought the Lovestruck Bubble Bar (which is new to the this year Valentines Day collection) and Lover Lamp too but I haven't used these two yet so make sure you look out for these in my next favourite posts!

I like to save them for a little bit before I use them as once they have gone that is it and they are expensive to buy depending on what you get!

Now this next favourite of mine is a fashion one. The jumper actually says 'Space Cadet' on it and I got it in the January sales.

I have paired it up with jeans at the moment but once Spring arrives I cannot wait to wear it underneath my pinafore dress and skirt.

This week some never before pictures were released of Marilyn Monroe when she was 34 back in the 60s not long after she died and she looks like she's pregnant in the photos. Baring in mind she had three miscarriages so could this be one of them? We will never know but I love them. She looks so beautiful and I wanted to show these in my favourites.

As you may know she is my idol and I love her to pieces. I was very excited to see these and defintely a great ending to this post.
